Rory McIlroy dating US PGA employee

It’s been just over a week since the world ushered in the New Year, and already, the love life of world number one golfer Rory McIlroy is one of the most read subjects on the internet and print.

McIlroy, the current Open and US PGA champion has had his name romantically linked with some of the most glamorous women throughout the world ever since he confirmed his split with former tennis world number one Caroline Wozniacki, but this time around, there is a twist in the tale.

Stories of how the Northern Irishman could have scuppered a fairy tale Ryder Cup comeback in Medinah in 2012 before it even began by oversleeping has entered golf folklore in Europe. Rory McIlroy on Grand Slam

World number one Rory McIlroy says that he will soak the pressure as he attempts to secure his career Grand Slam at The Masters next year at Augusta National. The Northern Irishman won The Open Championship this year, completing the third major win of his career before going on to secure victory at the US PGA Championship a few weeks later.

And speaking to BBC, the 25 year old said that he knows there will be a lot of hype as he attempts to secure the Augusta Masters next year. He added that he knows the world media will focus all their attention on him but he doesn’t mind the spotlight.

McIlroy led the race for the title back in 2011 as he opened up a four stroke lead before a closing round score of 80 saw him fall down the leader board. He made up for that by winning the US Open title a few months later and also secured his second title with his win at the US PGA title.

Rory McIlroy added that he realises a win at the Augusta National next year will set him up with a chance to secure victories in four successive major events at the US Open a couple of months later and he wants to be able to have a crack at that.

He said that it all lies in the preparation and he wants to do everything right so that when he goes to the Augusta National in April next year, everything will be ready to go.

According to Rory McIlroy, if he does win at Augusta, there will be even more hype for the US Open but he doesn’t mind that and he will be hoping that he is able to hold all four majors at the same time.
